The 30-MW, 5 wind-turbine Block Island Wind Farm is schedule to begin commercial operations before the end of the year. Gov. Gina Raimondo today tweeted an invitation to check out photos of the full installation. National Grid in June said that it brought to shore the 20-mile undersea cable between the Rhode Island mainland and BIWF. The cable will deliver power from the project to the mainland power grid.
